Thursday  (April 26)

6:00 pm - Candidate Questionnaire

A five (5) item questionnaire and submission instructions will be emailed to each candidate by 6:00 pm the day before the Meet the Candidates Night.  The responses to this questionnaire will be printed and distributed to delegates attending the Organizing Convention.

Friday  (April 27)

6:15 pm - Candidate Check-in

Candidates check-in, verify that they received their questionnaires, and are seated at the front of the chamber.  The completed questionnaire can be submitted via to nicegop@yahoo.com up until Tuesday evening, May 1st.  These responses will be distributed to delegates at the County Party Convention on Saturday morning, May 5th.

6:30 pm - Meeting Convenes

The meeting convenes with prayer, the Pledge of Allegiance, and a brief introduction by the RCIP Chair.

6:45 pm - Candidate Introductions

Each Candidate will be given three (3) minutes to introduce him or herself, and to support his or her candidacy.  Candidates will speak in alphabetical order, within the order of the office they are seeking (Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, Treasurer).

7:15 pm -  Question and Answer

The Question and Answer segment will commence with the introduction of the panel asking the questions.  The first panelist shall then read his or her question to the Chair candidates.  They will each have one (1) minute to respond.  When they are done, the questioner will then follow this same pattern for the Vice Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer candidates.

The order in which candidates respond to questions will alternate, within their particular office, such that the same person is not always the first having to answer a question. 

After the first panelist has gone through the complete list, the next panelist shall then proceed in like fashion, and so on, until all the panelists have taken their turn.

8:15 pm - Candidate/Delegate Mingle

The Candidate/Delegate Mingle will be conducted in a round robin.  All the Delegates in the chamber will be divided into smaller mingle groups. The number of groups will be equal to the number of candidates. Each candidate will then be assigned to a group and given five (5) minutes to visit with, and answer the questions of, the delegates in that group before rotating on to the next station.

Each station shall be assigned a number.  The candidates shall advance from station to station in numerical order.  The candidates shall begin with the station number corresponding to the order in which they were introduced.

9:00 pm - Adjournment

The Meet the Candidates Night adjourns.
