2005 - Meet the Candidates Night

Friday

6:00 pm

A five (5) item questionnaire will be emailed to each candidate.

Saturday

6:15 pm

Candidates check-in, turn-in their completed questionnaires, and are seated at the front of the chamber.

6:30

The meeting convenes with prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance.

6:45

Each Candidate will be given three (3) minutes to introduce him or herself, and to support his or her candidacy.  Candidates will speak in Convention Alphabetical order (U, V, Q, B, R, C, P, F, G, I, E, S, T, X, O, H, D, W, Z, J, K, M, L, Y, A, N), within the order of the office they are seeking (Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, Treasurer):

7:15

The Question and Answer segment will commence with the introduction of the panel asking the questions.  The first panelist shall then read his/her question to the Chair candidates.  They will each have one (1) minute to respond.  When they are done, the questioner will then follow this same pattern for the Vice Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer candidates.

After the first panelist has gone through the complete list, the next panelist shall then proceed in like fashion, and so on, until all the panelists have taken their turn.  The questions and answers shall be delivered according to the following outline, with speaking order alternating within the various offices:

The Round Robin Mingle segment will commence.  All the Delegates in the chamber will be divided into smaller mingle groups. The number of groups will be equal to the number of candidates. Each candidate will then be assigned to a group and given five (5) minutes to visit with, and answer the questions of, the delegates in that group before rotating on to the next station.

Each station shall be assigned a number.  The candidates shall advance from station to station in numerical order.  The candidates shall begin with the station number corresponding to their name in following list:
