1. In the past two years, what
would you consider to have been the top three challenges for the Salt Lake
County Republican Party?
- Money (lack of)
- Apathy and or Contentions
- Protecting the rights of the minority
while acting on the will of the majority.
2. In your opinion, what will be the
top three concerns facing the party in the next two years?
- Electing good republicans.
- Fundraising, because of the economy and
apathy.
- Calming the sea of contention within the
party.
3. Do you believe that you
sufficiently understand the make-up and operation of the party’s
conventions, Central Committee and Executive Committee to do the job you are
seeking? Why?
Yes. Because I have been an active
member of the party and have held many positions in this great party.
4. Do you believe that you
sufficiently understand the procedural and governing documents of the party?
Why?
Yes. I have served on the
Platform committee, Constitution and Bylaws committee, Executive
committee, County Central committee, State Central committee, Rules
committee, Rules committee Chair, Elections committee, Lincoln Day dinner
committee, Credentials committee, Credential committee Chair, Legislative
Liaison committee, Parliamentarian, State and County convention delegate
for 11 years, and candidate for the state Legislature.
5. What special skills or experience
do you possess that qualifies you for the office that you seek?
I have been there for the party,
officers, delegates, and candidates. I can and have worked with all
Republicans regardless of how I personally feel about them. I am easy to
talk to and I listen. I have attained the position of Professional
Registered Parliamentarian and can professionally preside at our meetings.
