1. In the past two years, what
would you consider to have been the top three challenges for the Salt Lake
County Republican Party?
- Image and voter turnout.
- Press.
- Distribution of information and
education, and goals at the precinct level. We need more support for
our elected officials to vote in Republican bills.
2. In your opinion, what will be the
top three concerns facing the party in the next two years?
- I will unite Republicans and organize
together to improve image and turnout. I will get our candidates
elected by working at the precinct level to support our candidates.
- Image. Our values unite us. We
need to work as a team on conventions, caucuses, etc.
- Organization of fundraisers and
donations. This is not last. Activities are supported by all of us.
Money talks.
3. Do you believe that you
sufficiently understand the make-up and operation of the party’s
conventions, Central Committee and Executive Committee to do the job you are
seeking? Why?
Yes. I have lifelong experience in
politics and civic work, campaigns, Central Committee, Credential
Committees, and am a member of Republican clubs. Also, I can work with
any candidate for Chair.
4. Do you believe that you
sufficiently understand the procedural and governing documents of the party?
Why?
Yes. I Understand them & a great
deal of my understanding came from my work on the credentials committee
last year with parliamentary Process & Roberts rules. We have an
organization of Republican Elected Officials supported by a grassroots
effort with principles, values, and morals that support clear
communication of our objectives to implement ideas from the top to the
grassroots in the most fair and organized way.
5. What special skills or experience
do you possess that qualifies you for the office that you seek?
Organizing experience with Republicans,
also holiday festivals, fireworks shows, golf tournaments, and 5K
runs. We united people, from the former Mayor to the current Mayor,
and had a great fest. I am very accustomed to civic budgets,
fundraisers, and getting donations.
