Candidate Questionnaire

1.  In the past two years, what would you consider to have been the top three challenges for the Salt Lake County Republican Party?

1. Fund Raising.
    
2. Candidate Elections.
    
3. Building Grassroots Support. 

2. In your opinion, what will be the top three concerns facing the party in the next two years?

1. Now that the groundwork has been solidly begun, growing the Party through grassroots.
    
2. Fundraising to support candidates in 2004.
    
3. Taking back the 2nd Congressional District seat.

3. Do you believe that you sufficiently understand the make-up and operation of the party’s conventions, Central Committee and Executive Committee to do the job you are seeking? Why?

Yes!  I planned the 2002 Nominating Convention and dinner, and set up for each Executive Committee and Central Committee meeting.  I have helped prepare the notices, and attended and served in each meeting.  I have filled in for the Vice Chair numerous times and managed registrations.

4.  Do you believe that you sufficiently understand the procedural and governing documents of the party? Why?

As a member of the National Association of Parliamentarians, one of the first things you learn is "know your organizations documents!"  As a matter of procedure, I have reviewed these documents prior to nearly every meeting.

5. What special skills or experience do you possess that qualifies you for the office that you seek?

I have excellent organizational and management skills.  I am a high energy and infections worker, who knows how to motivate volunteers and work with a diverse make up of people.  I already have a broad working relationship with precincts and have first hand experience with the structure of the Party and its inner workings.  I have been here for the Party for the past two years, and I will be here to help bring the Party to its full potential in the next term.
