1. In the past two years, what
would you consider to have been the top three challenges for the Salt Lake
County Republican Party?
- Fund Raising.
- Candidate Elections.
- Building Grassroots Support.
2. In your opinion, what will be the
top three concerns facing the party in the next two years?
- Now that the groundwork has been solidly
begun, growing the Party through grassroots.
- Fundraising to support candidates in
2004.
- Taking back the 2nd Congressional
District seat.
3. Do you believe that you
sufficiently understand the make-up and operation of the party’s
conventions, Central Committee and Executive Committee to do the job you are
seeking? Why?
Yes! I planned the 2002 Nominating
Convention and dinner, and set up for each Executive Committee and Central
Committee meeting. I have helped prepare the notices, and attended
and served in each meeting. I have filled in for the Vice Chair
numerous times and managed registrations.
4. Do you believe that you
sufficiently understand the procedural and governing documents of the party?
Why?
As a member of the National Association
of Parliamentarians, one of the first things you learn is "know your
organizations documents!" As a matter of procedure, I have reviewed
these documents prior to nearly every meeting.
5. What special skills or experience
do you possess that qualifies you for the office that you seek?
I have excellent organizational and
management skills. I am a high energy and infections worker, who
knows how to motivate volunteers and work with a diverse make up of
people. I already have a broad working relationship with precincts
and have first hand experience with the structure of the Party and its
inner workings. I have been here for the Party for the past two
years, and I will be here to help bring the Party to its full potential in
the next term.
